WHAT IS REIKI?

The reiki experience varies from person to person. Some people feel a
warmth or tingling sensation on, within, or above energy centers.
Others fall into a meditative state, or go to a place of inner calm
and stillness. And some people remain in the present and
experience reiki using all or any of the 5 senses. Most everyone
reports a significant and very satisfying state of relaxation.

Imagine time spent in the here and now during which you
relax, let go, and are revitalized by the energy that surrounds us,
flows through us, and links us to all that there is.
This experience is called receiving Universal Life Force Energy.

An integrated energy experience using any Thunder Healing
practice coupled with Rai Ryoho Reiki can create a most pleasing
and comfortable environment that enhances the energy
exchange process that occurs during a reiki session.

In a Rai Ryoho Reiki experience, the recipient

The roots of Reiki are traditional associated with Mikao Usui from Japan.
y the 1930's it was introduced to the west by Hawaya Takata in Hawaii.
Since that time, there have been many variations and changes to the
original teachings and practices of Mikao Usui.

Rai Ryoho Reiki is a presentation of traditional Japanese forms of Reiki
developed and enhanced for modern applications with unique and
culturally sensitive components added to the practice.

Rai Ryoho Reiki was created by Paul N. Dion,
who was originally instructed in Usui Shiki Ryoho,
a very common western Reiki system.
He has a Master Level attunement in Usui Shiki Ryoho.

Being dissatisfied with the Shiki Ryoho practice as it was presented (amidst a
confusing presentation overshadowed by ego and a vague focus), the need for a new
personal, unique, and culturally appropriate form of Reiki practice became evident.

Rai Ryoho Reiki is easily accessible and flows naturally through both
participants in the energy exchange process. Rai Ryoho Reiki devotes its efforts
to the original Japanese methods without involving teachings and distractions
passed down from the Hawaiian lineage. Rai Ryoho Reiki uses Reijo Ho, Nentatsu Ho,
Joshin Kokyu Ho, Jakikiri Joka Ho, Enkaku Chiryo Ho, Byosen Reikan Ho and other
traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques in its practice in addition to new practices
that have been developed naturally through expression and experience.

Rai Ryoho Reiki exists in the NOW and
is a dynamic, ever-changing experience.

For those who are interested, Rai Ryoho Reiki teaches only one level
of practice and does not adhere to predetermined course outlines.
Information, technique, and progression are guided by the student's
capacity only. Those who wish to learn Rai Ryoho Reiki are asked to
commit themselves to ongoing practice as this system of Reiki is
not about gaining certification but rather about personal
empowerment through individual work.

Please note: a Rai Ryoho Reiki attunement includes all attunements
from traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki One through Usui Shiki Ryoho
Master level in addition to the unique Rai Ryoho Reiki "Master" Level initiation.

Rai Ryoho Reiki firmly believes that all people are equal, and that no one individual is "better,"
"more enlightened," or in a position to "provide better energy" than another. The source of
Rai Ryoho Reiki energy does not come from the individual and therefore cannot be
enhanced or compromised by the ego.

Any combination of these services may be incorporated into or excluded from your session.

Reiki is a method of facilitating relaxation, healing, balancing, and energizing the mind and body. It is considered "energy work."

A Reiki Session usually has the recipient of reiki energy lying on a massage table while the practitioner
places their hands on or above the body in various places. A reiki session is not a massage session.

Energy centers, or chakras, are the places on and within and around the body that are
manipulated or energized and/or balanced during any type of energy work.

Rai Ryoho Reiki includes everything Traditional Reiki brings to the table,
but it is a new Reiki modality that offers an integrated energy exchange experience.
